Seems a bit low of an offer doesn't it? I have a 2010 IS250 with 91k and I'm getting offers for 25k.

Wow the car is very cheap. Why not just keep the car as a spare? 10k is not much.

I would part out the headlights, exhaust, etc and sell it separately. At least you a large chunk of that initial investment. When you sell it with the car you get practically nothing back.

I wouldn't do it if I was you. The car is a gem. Keep it running a bit longer.

If you absolutely need to sell it to get the RX350 I would try to get more than $10k. I'm sure you can get more for it depending on the condition of your car.

I live in Queens NYC, I have 2010 Crystal clear headlights with AFS.
Maybe we can work a deal out for your LED headlights?

91k kilo or miles? 25k CDN for an IS250 seems like a pretty good offer. Don't know what mods you have. I paid < $20k CDN for a 2007 IS350 2 years ago with <50k miles on it.

To the OP, maybe I'm out of date, but I think a lot of people here think their aftermarket parts are worth more than they actually are. If I were you, I wouldn't plan on getting more than 1/2 your original investment back unless the parts are pristine, low mi. etc. And you have the additional pain of trying to find stock parts and the pain of trying to sell the aftermarket parts.

I don't think $10k is that far out of line. You might be able to recoup more of your investment, but you'll have to put in time to get it. At the very least, you have to advertise the car, wait around for people who never show, negotiate and eventually take less than you wanted.

It comes down to this: How much do you want the RX350 and how much do you want to keep the IS250? You still have good life in the IS250 but those back seats are not adult or teenager friendly either.

I pulled the trigger sold my 07 IS250 for 10.5 got into an 09 RX350 for 11k. Not bad I'm very happy the 350 engine is no joke I love it. Due to the growing family it was time for it to go!

I think you did the right thing. Once I get the issues resolved on my IS (2006 / 116K miles) I plan on trading in as well. Depending on how Lexus corp treats me on my carbon buildup issue I may go for the NX.

Also, getting $10K for your 2007 is a lot better than what I saw for my 2006. Albeit - mine is not in mint condition at all. Best I saw doing some online trade in estimates is $ 5K on a good condition car. Maybe it's a NYC thing?

Glad it worked out. I got 12K on a trade in from the dealer when I got my GS. Car was in great cosmetic condition although it needed some suspension work.
