New IS 350
Well I'm about to be a new owner. I'm taking a leap of faith as I'll be having a car shipped to my hometown. My brother will be test driving and looking over it for me. I'm away on a work asignment and won't return home for another three or four months. In the meantime my wife is going to be driving the car while I'm away.
I need a good four door daily driver that's not boring. A close friend of mine picked up a BMW 335i. That's one nice car and I was seriously considering one. The only thing that stopped me was the maintenance cost associated with them. I've learned the hard way that keeping a vehicle in good operating condition can be expensive.
I'll stick with Toyota & Lexus for the reliability. Sure looking forward to many more miles and smiles ahead. I know that this car isn't the same "drivers car" as BMW's are but the trade off for reliability is more important to me.
I'll be getting a 2010 with navigation, heated and ventilated seats. It currently has 70K miles. I'll be changing out all fluid myself and looking through the rest of the car for any items that may need to be replaced.

Awesome, everyone I know that has an IS350 loves it. It's quick and responsive, and luxurious inside as well. Front seat legroom is excellent, rear seat legroom almost nonexistent. Also, very reliable. I think you'll enjoy it!

I'll post pictures as soon as I get home. I'm sure I'll be an asset to the forum. I'm not your typical Lexus owner as I'm more hands on than most. My experience comes from rebuilding engines in college to clutch replacements in the garage and side yard growing up. Recently I picked up some detailing equipment and supplies. So if anyone needs some advice on working on paint corrections I'll be able to lend a hand if nearby or advice from afar.

Wife flew home after spending two weeks visiting me. She picked up the car today and it's now safely tucked away in the garage at home.
I'm really looking forward to getting home now.

I wouldn't have bought from CarMax if I were you, almost everything in their inventory is way overpriced and you cant negotiate but it's your money.
Carmax actually makes sense for the 335i you were planning on purchasing since they provide a extended warranty service plan which will help cut down the costs of repair for unreliable vehicles.
