Anyone have a line on forged 17 inch wheels
Seems like everyone is running 18s, etc. Currently have the factory 18's on a RWD, so 8in width front 45 offset and 8.5 width front with 50 offset.
Looking to move to 17in forged, and I'm having a hard time finding ones that would work. It seems like a 17x8 and 17x9 are relatively common as far as sizes, but I've really only seen the cheaper cast wheels. Also, I'm unsure what range of offsets I can run that would "work" without spacers. I'm not tied to that particular width, but I can run the factory tire size still.
I've exclusively owned SUVs/Trucks/Jeeps for the past 6 years so forgive my idiocy!
I will be looking to put the Michelin A/S 3s on them.

BBS and Volk are the two manufacturers I know of off hand that make forged 17" wheels. I'm sure there are more. You don't need a forged wheel to get good quality wheels. I just started running a set of 17" Enkei PF01s, and another user put on a set of 17" Enkei RPF1s early this year.
Offsets and widths will depend on what you are trying to accomplish. Check the wheel and tire forum for a calculator.

Cheaper tires, lighter, bigger sidewall providing a bit more cushion. That's it really, the IS is my runabout, will be putting on 99% highway miles.
