Hey I was just wondering if there are any 2011-2013 is250s on the road that have had carbon buildup issues yet that have been diagnosed and fixed by Lexus or if they even suspect the onset happening in the early stages.

I have a 2012 is250 and I feel when going above 4000rpm the engine is very rough. And also at stop lights sometimes my steering wheel shakes with vibrations from the engine.
Don't know how common this is or isn't. Just trying to feel it out.

My 250 has 26k on it.

Late-VIN 2010 IS 250 AWD (VIN is AFTER they made the chance)

130k miles.

I have had the engine RPMs drop at a stoplight suddenly about 8 times in the last year.

Could be an omen of bad things to come?

Some or most IS250 have carbon build up issue. That is why I got Is350. But you get 9 year recall from dates of the car. You have recall until 2020 if your car is 2011.

Your information is 100% incorrect.

Lexus only warranties the 2006-Mid 2010 IS 250's for the 9-year from in-service date.

How many year carbon buildup warrenty for 2011-2013? I say some or most IS250 have carbon build up. I say 9 year, but I'm 100% wrong? Maybe 50% wrong lol.

There is no carbon buildup recall/warranty for 2011-13. Only applies to 2006-2010, as the repair essentially makes the engine the same as later years. Some people report carbon issues in 2011+ models and in earlier models after the recall was done, but it seems much less frequent. If it does become a frequent problem u can have a cleaning done.
