Hi, just wondering if you had any check vsc after you installed your taillights, I have 78 works and after I installed the lights I got vsc, abs, etc. Ran codes and I got code c1249. Thanks in advance!

Not to bring up an old thread, (I'm new here and I did search the forums) but I am currently experiencing the same thing when I installed my Nigel led tail lights as well. It was a plug and play harness with no resistors attached/included. But there is a random wire with a tiny connector attached to the reverse lights that has nothing to plug into. Due to that I just put in a couple 194 led bulbs as a substitute since I wouldn't have had any reverse lights. Once I started the car up I also got the dreaded dash lights.. check vsc, abs, traction, ebrake light, etc. Ran the code and it also came back as c1249. I've done some research about the code, but nothing that relates to led tail light install. I've disconnected the battery, reset the code, but it came back. Am I missing something? I'm taking my car into the dealership this weekend since my nav is miscalculating. Figured I'd also ask them about the code and see what fix they have. BUT, does anyone have a solution to this in advance?? Please help! Thanks!

Ive heard of a few people with CEL's from aftermarket tails and i can not for the life of me figure out what is going on with it. I haven't seen it in person just heard about it, so i can't help them diagnose in person. I have plugged in multiple sets of 78works on my car when i import them and my dash never lights up. All i can tell people is to ensure you have wired the resistor in properly and no fuses are blown. *shrug*

How to remove the code
Hey, so I had the same issue(posted earlier in the thread) and I solved it last year. It depends where your car is from. Since my car is Canadian and the lights 78works (Japanese) the mechanic I found told me there are stict regulation here and cars here have to meet certain criteria for safety. The car LEDs caused the code C1249 to pop up cause it thinks that your bulb in the tail lights arent working. I'll try and explain what wrong the best it can and try and remember what the the mechanic said. Basically the problem is led light have pulsing wave while the regular light has a straight signal. From what I remember is my mechanic had to go to Lexus tech and ask for a diagram of how the light reacted with the computer and he wired the led lights (not sure what he used) to trick and the computer into thinking that they are bulb (oem) lights. It cost about $30, hopefully someone who knows more about these technical stuff can better explain this lol but I think this is what is happening. If you live in Toronto I can recommend the shop

I'm not sure why all of them are marketed as: "for 06-08 IS250/350"
Just installed Spec-D on my 2011 is350 - PnP, no modifications to anything, same harness, just follow included manual.
All good so far.
