I did simple affordable mods first and tried to do bigger mods later....then I got engaged. My fiance will not let me trade my car in for an '11-'13 Fsport IS350 nor continue to do anything else to my current 07 IS250 unless it's required maintenance.

So...don't get engaged if you have big plans on modding your car. When I first bought my car I didn't do anything to it for the first 3 years because I was paying rent, car payment, and other bills. Now with a fiance/wife plus kids later...that is a lifetime expense. Kiss modding goodbye unless your ballin' out of control. I LIVE VICARIOUSLY THROUGH EVERYONE ON CL!!! LOL.

By investing and using some of the returns. I wondered how my 26 year old friend had a 6,000 square foot custom one story home on 3 acres built in Orange County with appliances like $12k refrigerator, $20k stove top, and everything used top notch materials.

The answer for some people is simple... being able to purchase is not the same a being able to afford.

No kids, no wife and a half decent job at 25. Plus I do all my own work and source out the best price on parts, new or used.

^ Being an Albertan I can see the grin on your face just by those words haha -- I'm not in the oil sands but I know exactly what you're talking about!

I buy all my stuff from China. Just don't tell your friends you got replica parts and you'll be golden.

I believe I see you driving in Langley area sometimes, I guess that's when work flies you back home for your days off right .
