new is250 owner.(pause in acceleration)
I am a new owner of a 2008 awd is250. I love the car but I have a few questions.
sometimes when I go to accelerate there is a pause in the throttle response before the car takes off. it doesn't happen every time but mainly when I just step on the pedal I don't get instant response.
also is there a way to keep traction control off? when I turn it off it automatically goes back on?
thanks!

Hello, you could have some carbon build up causing the problem, I would have a Lexus dealer check your vin for all recalls done to the car or do it yourself online, if you have the trac control light on have you had the check engine light come on also?, you can have the code read at a parts store in your area for free. Welcome to CL.....

For those outside of the Lexus Power-train Warranty, I suggest looking into Walnut Blasting as a possible solution to the carbon buildup issue. I had a local shop do it for me (in Minneapolis, MN) and the results were great! No more rough idle and instant throttle response. Check out the before & after photos and learn more about the Walnut Blasting process.
