Recommended Lowering Springs
Hi Team
I got some new 18x8 rims for my 2007 IS250 with 225-45-18 tires if am not mistaken.
I want to lower my car but to too low. Am looking for a sporty look. Can you pls recommend some good lowering springs? There are tons on ebay but not sure of what measurement shall I choose. Am looking for ones that are not extremely expensive but that will do a great job.
Ant help is highly appreciated.

I've had this debate with myself for a long time. Spring/shock or coilovers? I ended up with coilovers because I've read how most aftermarket springs are progressive instead of linear which makes ride quality on bumpy roads horrifying.

OP...you should find springs that will work with your shocks. It's like a bad marriage if the two don't work with each other.
Anyone know what springs will work with the OEM shocks? I have no knowledge about the H&R lowering springs. Maybe Raybean can explain some more.
Does OP need to go with a completely new spring/shock combo? I only know of fsport springs with the fsport shocks. I know some of you might be thinking that he might as well get coilovers, but let's give him another alternative.

H&R are a good quality spring made in Germany and pass stringent TUV standards. They have been around for a long time and drop it pretty well. As far as using them with stock shocks, you can use them but will probably wear the shocks sooner than later. You're looking at a price difference of about $400-$500 if you get cool overs. If you never want to go lower then you'll be fine with just springs.
