Default Weird tire noise /rubbing?

I have 07 350 and don't know if this is common or not but I have winter tires on 17's but also notice the same thing when I have my summer tires on also 17's. Let's say I'm at a complete stop and I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right and then let go of brake as if to make a u turn, I hear and feel like if the tires were too big and rubbing against something, like almost if they were hitting something kind of skipping. Basically it's not smooth when making a u turn. Also happens when I reverse and turn the steering wheel all the way to either side and reverse, literally feels like the tires are to big and it's catching on something.. Is this normal? 17's are small for this car and I'm not lowered or anything. Is it normal?

usual problem is rubbing on the fender liner, how thick are your tires and sidewalls?

It's normal, the IS has a very tight turning radius.

what josh said. I think tire size makes a huge difference. I'm pretty low up in the front on stocks and don't seem to have the problem you're describing, but then again I basically don't even have any fender liners

OEM specs for 17s are 225/45/17 so your sidewall would be 45..im running that right now for winter while lowered on bcs and I never rub so I don't know what it could be

Not necessarily sure if they are rubbing it just feels like it, maybe it's just what Noah said they just have a tight turning radius?
