It was posted to their instagram and they have always mentioned the plans for a spring released kit for 2IS.

It seems old news to me because my girlfirend has a custom rocket bunny retrofitted IS350 though I feel like its too late to capitalize on this though because this trend has been overplayed so much.

I wouldn't go as far as overplayed. Because until today, I haven't seen a Rocket Bunny on the road. It's overplayed only in the internet and car shows.

But to your point. The "rocket bunny" kit doesn't wow me now. What wow's me are one off kits like your car for example. Original and actually require body shop many man hours to build.
