I replaced mine myself at 85k - when I took them out - they definitely appeared to have needed changing. I wouldn't let it go just bc the car runs fine.

Do you have an IS250 or IS350? The install is considerably easier on the IS350.

I just did mine this past sunday. mine is an is350. Install is Really easy especially if you have changed plugs before. Mine only had 40k miles and they looked in bad shape... Just becuase your car isnt misfiring doesnt mean you shouldnt pull the plugs, just like any other maintance, it needs to be done. Install only took me 1 hour max. and Ran much better after.

I did the 250 a few weeks back... not hard if you have patience and the right tools. The only bad part was I accidentally severed a wire behind the intake manifold which caused a bunch of lights to come on. It took me 2 days to find the problem after changing out gaskets everywhere. Just be careful when removing the intake manifold. GL

the manual recommends to change them at 60K. How many miles do you have. It should be done when it recommends.

If you can get the carbon buildup recall done for your 250 (replace piston rings + rebuild) provide the dealer with some sparkplugs, they'll be more than happy to change them for you.

I changed my plugs around 94k and they had all tonnes of crud on them.
