Both fun. One option is just bit more practical for me but can't argue choosing either one.
You must not be in a populated area of CA. LOL...a six speed in LA is a nightmare. I'd rather have the 350 for the on-ramps. You know...before you come to a complete stop on the freeway.

If you can, drive both. Choose the one you like. For me, I automatically went for the is350. I didn't bother test driving the is250.

Standard is not as bad as you might think. I actually prefer a standard in traffic because it gives me something more to do.

My IS250 insurance cost way more than the IS350. Model is one thing, the age of the car is also a big factor. If the IS350 year is old, insurance is not that bad. No ticket whatever and clean record on DMV with safe driver discount on insurance here. When it comes to pushing the cars hard all the way to the limit, I bring them to autocross or track

I've had both. Wait for 350 with nav. If you're tired of waiting. Get the 350 and put nav in it,or buy my 350 it has nav

My advice as a new owner. My wife and I were in the same boat. Nicer 250 or a 350. One two min test drive was all it took. We went 350 hands down. And then started the long process of looking. We just found one but did have to go up in price just a bit. $10 extra a month. It was well worth the extra time and money. Could not be happier with the 350. So I say keep looking and test driving and get what u want. It will be worth it every day for a long time.

I had a similar question when I bought my IS350 seven years ago. A no nav IS350 or a 250 with Nav as they were about the same price. We went with the 350 and have never looked back. So much more fun to drive. We got a rental 2014 IS250 when we had our last recall and I was so happy to get my 7 year old IS350 back.

If the IS250 is manual then it would be more fun to drive. The IS350 is very dull to me, but I only drive sporty cars or sport cars.
