Default IS 350 Fsport Brakes..options

I bought a used 2009 IS 350 with the beautiful blue FSport brakes and large rotors. Just took the car in to have them replaced (after owning it 3 years with more than 70000 miles), only to find it will cost over $4300 for all 4. Does anyone know if there are cheaper brakes & rotors that will fit? I called Brembo brakes and they had nothing. Thanks.

You're trying to replace the calipers or just the brake pads and rotors?? you shouldn't be replacing calipers so that price is very high.

You can buy the F Sport BBK pads and rotors replacement on Sewellparts.com
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2009/1852.html
Here is the break down for your IS350 2007 F Sport BBK:
1. Front pads: $103.14
2. Rear pads: $77.74
3. Front rotors: $729 each X 2
4. Rear rotors: $741.76 each X 2
Total should be around ~$3,120.

StopTech is the company who made the FSport Brakes. You could go with Stoptech pads and rotors as an alternative. I'd say from a dealership they are about 6 to 7 hundred over on their price.

First thing first, did the place measure the rotor thicknesses to see if they are out-of-spec? No need to replace good components!

Second, OMG...I had no idea they were that much! LOL!

I am glad I talked myself out of buying those BBK when Lexus first announced the f sport accessories.

If you do have to replace the rotors look into AdamsRotors. They have great quality rotors and are generally pretty reasonable.

Yeah, I just found out today about the price too and shocked to see that the 4 rotors alone cost more than putting 4 Megan EZ coilovers on 4 different IS lol.

The real question is: Are the holes cast on or drilled through?? I thought it is cast on to justify this price tag?

@heyarms
I'm not sure. I believe they told me the $4300 was for the entire 4 brake system....they definitely said the pads & rotors. I'll check.

@FSportIS
Thanks...i'll check out issewellparts.com. Those prices sound better than what was quoted but still expensive since it just covers the rotors and pads. I guess that answers the question "heyarms" posted about the price including the calipers...doesn't appear to, but I don't think I need calipers....thankfully.

The prices reflect ClubLexus discount that Sewell gives to many of us. When you sign up an account there, make sure you link it to your account here on ClubLexus to receive big discount. I believe the price you got from the dealership is standard MSRP prices which should be around $4000 or so for pads + rotors.
