Arrow Philips Ultinon D4S 6000k VS 6200k. $75 price difference?!

So, I have another quick question. The price difference between these two is like $75 more, does anyone know why? The 6200k is $170 while the 6000k is $230-250. Why such a large price difference. Is there something I don't know about these two. The 6200k should appear pretty white still with no hint of blue unless the visibility between the two is THAT big of a difference. So confused. I need some new bulbs to see better at night.

If it is the same brand and authentic, and only 2k color difference, it would not be that much of a difference in term of brightness. I guess 6200k has a bit more blue hint. I would get the 6200k in your case.

To see better at night, skip the bulbs and get a projector retrofit. Besides, higher kelvin = lower lumens (generally).

Philips has the 6200k ultinons that are only sold in,Japan. These are rated at 2500 lumens. The 6000k ultinon here are rated at 2600 lumens in d4s. TRS has the 6000k here for $185, I believe jdm Nigel has the 6200k for $169. The 100 lumen difference is not noticeable; either bulbs will work for your application. Keep in mind you areally losing about 15% light output for color.

As mentioned the side loaded xenon projectors leave a lot to be desired. If you want better output a projector retrofit would be optimal, but costly and/or labor intensive.

Thank you so much. This was really an in depth response! I don't want to play around with a retrofit bc it'll be way too much work taking out my headlights and what not. I would have to bake the headlight right.. Too much work. I'm gonna order the Philips instead
