Default anyone have the fsport chasis member brace? worth it?

I've rear a lot of reviews on the sway bars and am compelled to get them but wondering if anyone has the chassis member brace and can give us some feedback on it. I searched all the threads and couldn't find any real reviews. Thanks in advance.

redspencer has one and has posted his thoughts. He has a thread in the build section, which you can check but search for all his posts and you should find more. sffd103 also has one.

I got it on my car, and i love it, it really stiff if you go fast on a sharp turn, but on the mild turn you would not notice, the only downside is if you drive in the winter or go through the high speed bump and you might scrape it

Hmmm... thanks Ohiois350! I see you have a 350 if anyone has a 250 I'd love to hear your feedback as well since i have a 250 and apparently it may be different. Ohiois350, do you have sways too? I'm about to purchase a set for my 250 and the difference between the 250 and 350 are also vastly different. Thanks again!

Yeah sway bars is the most important, I got them first, it only help when you fast on a sharp turn, but the car still feel floating when you drive on stock springs and struts, therefore I got the whole F-sport set up and love them, if you decide to upgrade your suspension, it's doesn't matter on is250 or 350, they are feel the same

Since you drive a 250 just go for the sway bar set. You will feel a big difference. No need for the chassis brace as you will only feel a minimum impact and only at higher/super tight corners. Not worth the money imo

I had the fsport bilstein shocks on eibach prokits and got rid of them for Megan LPs. Really interested to see how my car will feel with the sway bars.

Based on my experience with the F-Sport chassis brace, I would disagree with this. The stiffness/responsiveness of the chassis is readily noticeable when the car is doing quick left to right slalom maneuvers. The polar moment of inertia is reduced when you install this component. My recommendation is to install the chassis brace after you've tuned the other suspension bits of your car as well as getting gripper tires.

Chassis stiffness and a well balanced suspension tune is the reason why the 3rd generation IS is praised for its responsive handling over a stock 2is. The 2is has the OEM components (F-Sport) to meet and/or exceed the 3is handling capabilities but it's something you'll have to build yourself instead of being available as a turnkey factory tune.

I had it on my car. I think it was good. If you can afford it then get it. I scraped the heck out mine.

I am not arguing that the brace doesnt help, just saying that it has a minimal impact for the average owner. I think slaloms are classified under the high speed/tight corner category. Most people will not be tracking their 250 nor will put in the work and $$$ to dial in the suspension to be perfect. It is unlikely the owner has even had the suspension corner balanced or dialed in through manual alignment for the best performance. Fact of the matter is that for most people the price to performance factor is just too high.
