So you want a miracle solution to eat through the secondary layer of paint but not the original layer of paint?

I personally never done it but aircraft remover technically should only remove the glossy black layer. From what I was told the OEM layer is on there really good.

try it, but if you apply too much it may penetrate into the original finish so be cautious

I spray painted my stock wheels black is the past and it was the biggest pain taking off the paint without ruining the factory finish. Aircraft remover ate through all the paint including the stock paint, and made a huge mess. Instead, I just gave up and paid $360 to have it sandblasted and powdercoated. That's your best bet otherwise, expect to spent 10+ hours cleaning off the paint. If you're up for it, I would use acetone or gasoline on a towel and rub off the paint.

Why was it a huge mess? I'm curious to know because I'm trying to get my stock wheels repainted to silver since my spray paint coat is starting to chip off. If I remove all the coats a local shop is willing to charge only $200 to powdercoat. With sandblasting they will charge me $350. Trying to use aircraft remover to strip off all the paint.

you can use paint stripper from home depot. its like a gel and is super acidic. its messy because it eats the paint and you still have to scrape of bits and pieces of it. I did a set of work vs kf like that and it was time consuming. be advised that you will want to wear thick clothes and gloves since this stuff will burn your skin.

if it is just paint I would tell you to sandblast them.
