I just bought a 2008 IS250 awd with 97000 miles just yesterday i noticed the red solid airbag light on the right side of the cluster. Is this something that should or shouldn't be there? The dealership never said anything about the airbag light. I actually bought the car and had it shipped from a dealership in new jersey. I was wondering if it should be there or if 's something that has to be repaired. The car has a clean carfax but i noticed the front bumper has a gash in it.

its just a lose connection, you can easily fix it yourself.

Yes this is something you should worry about in case of an accident. If the dealership not mention this light it might have happen during the travel 2008 IS250 has a faulty wire harness under the dash board that might need replacing I know this because that is what happen to mine one afternoon out of no where. Call the dealership you got it from and ask them to pay for it. Then take it in to a lexus dealership airbags are covered longer then normal warranty good luck
