4 low beams/projector high beams? idea!
I was looking at my headlamps today then at the 3rd gen lexus is and it has 4 projectors both low and high beams and it looks sick (duh).
I remember i saw a nice retrofit projector the morimoto mini h1 bexenon wich has both low beam and a no cutoff high beam (solenoid activated).
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.VDvwabJpd-g
so here is my idea why not install this projectors in the high beam housing upgrade the stock low beam wiring to 70w capable and run both stock and retrofited low beams off the newly upgraded wiring (two 35w hid kits=70w) and connect the solenoid for the bixenon cutoff to the high beam wiring so when you activate high beams the cutoff is removed and you achieve projector HID high beams and quad low beams when high beams are not activated??? someone else thinks this idea is awesome?
(do not comment on state laws or its ilegal blah blah blah cause here where i live it aint ilegal, hids are legal as long as they are run with a properly aimed projector even if i have 3 pairs. also it ruins the creative atmosphere)

looks beautiful did you use the morimoto mini h1? and did you wire it just like i explained???? want more details plan on doing this since its a really boss headlamp mod over stupid expensive 2012 led drl headlamp which doesn't offer this performance.
Also i plan on doing it with this shrouds to match the low beam's shroud http://www.theretrofitsource.com/com...l#.VIIpB76przI

Okay that white one is so much better, mine was on a budget though. =P
I have no idea how it's wired up, had someone do it for me. All lows turn on all at once, bixenon highs all at once, foglight standalone with stock switch. (later added LED strip with switchback amber in the strip)
DRL disabled at dealer
I'm still figuring out how to mod the 11+ headlight.... I dont like how my LED strip came out and will swap to newer headlight later on. The high beam in the 11+ is too small to fit any of the TRS bixneon projectors

That lip and retrofit has been on my wish list. I will prob also have the retrofit prof done since when I did my LS430 setup I had to open them back up a couple of times. Saved money doing it myself but would have paid more to have it done right the first time. I've actually toyed with the idea of a custom bezel all together and getting LS430 projectors in there. I'd have to change the layout for the blinkers though to accomidate them... not sure if I'm willing to take that on. That idea is off to the side of my list of things till i'm at that level.

that LS retrofit looks great but im sure it wont fit my college student budget lol. prob wired like im planing will do after i do the suspension upgrades. I just love how the 4 low beam hid projectors look without any led strips or anything looks so damn clean and im sure its the brightest and cheapest option vs any other retrofit.

the 4 projector setup can probably cost under 500 DIY with all HID for fogs included

I actually got a quote on a LS tri projector swap with mini projector for the high beam and custom LED turn signal. $2500 was the low end. Almost pulled the trigger, but i've had bad experiences with resealed headlight's before, factory seal FTW! But if anyone is interested I can point you in the right direction.

yeah 2.5k is way of my budget lol the qud projector setup would go for like $400 including morimoto hid kits for low beam and fogs since my car is standard halogen right now. and i bet it will be brighter than the LS also like the non led drl setup so clean everyone is doing led drls now look at kia nissan mercedes etc gets boring quad hid projectors FTW will revive this thred once i start project.
