So if you're not following me on ig or my build thread, I got hit n run two nights ago and I'm more worried about the damages to my rear diffuser than my bumper. So long story short, I got lucky when I bought this rear off someone since it's so hard to find. Can this be repaired. Already one shop told me it's unrepairable because of the large crack and high chance of it cracking again after repair due to the vibrations and my high spring rates. I'm waiting for diamond auto body to pick up as of now bc they're my last hope. Anyone else know a shop that specializes in fiberglass repair or where I can buy another one?

My wheels come back from refinish next week so I want to do a photoshoot asap!

Is that a Wald rear lip? Anyways, that shop was right; yes it can be repaired, but will it stay that way and for how long? The structural integrity has definitely been compromised.

Will your insurance not pony up for a new, replacement piece?

Most insurance companies have a clause were you specify a dollar amount for aftermarket, non-OEM items on your car (which increases your monthly premium). This diffuser would fall into that category. If you have not specified this item, then they are not obligated to replace it or fix it. They are only obligated to return your car back to stock form.

As Gville stated, the lip may crack in the future given the type of damage and location.

Yeah I never specified the price so in the end I have to fork out the money. So I'm looking to buy another one of these. Someone let me know where I can find one. It's a wald rep rear diffuser with no mesh cut outs
