Hey guys,

I have a 2006 is350. I bought my car 4 years ago with an injen cold air intake. I passed smog 2 years ago, but now the guy will not pass me because its carb certified. I also called injen and they said they cant send me a carb sticker.

I dont have a stock air intake. Does anyone in the socal area have one that I could borrow?

Do certain states inspect the vehicles. Colorado on,y does basic emissions from tailpipe test

Injen isn't CARB approved in CA. Go to a Lexus dealer abs buy the F Sport intake CARB sticker for $5. The smog tech won't know the difference.

my car already failed the smog check once, so it is in ths system that my car failed and my intake is illegal. if i had done this before, it would have worked. but now my car is in the system and they will know right away what my car failed for

Your intake failed from the visual test. You can go get a carb sticker and get a retest. I am a smog inspector here in the Bay Area. Good Luck.

You should PM Gookie. I would not be discussing this on a public forum since Smog testing is taken seriously in the state of CA.
