With more and more Euro diesel cars being a success over here in the US and GM now offering a small size diesel pick up, I would imagine it is only a matter of time til Toyota gets on board. If they could just offer a diesel IS and maybe a diesel 4runner or Taco ala Hilux, they'd smash it out of the park.

toyota said b4 it is too expensive to develop a diesel engine just for here in north america... so they are looking at cummins for the tundra....

The times are changin. In past i think it was untinkable to buy a diesel car in US.Now the price of gas is changin all the time.Here in Europe the diesel cars are more expensive than the petrol cars cca [10,15 %].All in all the cars are more expensive here in Europe,when i see the priceses of lexus in US it makes me very jelaous!!!!
