Still good instructions
I know this is an older thread, but I just wanted to post that these instructions are still good as of 11/21/2017.
I ordered the OEM 2007-2009 Lexus GX470 XM Sirius Radio Installation Kit from Amazon (http://a.co/brUy64R), and the RCEIVR, XM SDAR 86180-0W030 from lexuspartsnow.com (https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...180-0w030.html). Just as a note, they shipped part # 86180-0W032, which replaced 86180-0W030. I'm sure there are some technical differences, but the parts seem to be identical and the 86180-0W032 worked just fine.
I also ordered the Sumitomo TS / SL Female Terminal 0.5 - 1.25 mm2 ( 20 - 16 AWG ) CONN-11856 from Ballenger Motor Sports (https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pr...oducts_id/1567). These are the terminals used to connect the new wiring harness to the older car. Basically, this solves the square peg in a round hole issue. You can find fully assembled pins (part # 82998-12340) on amazon for about 10 dollars each, or you can order these terminals for 30 cents each and crimp your own little section of wire to it. It's super easy and will save you about $45. I did not order the housing (part number 90980-10797), which would probably have been a better idea, but I just put a little bit of electric tape around each of the 5 terminals so they wouldn't touch each other, then used electric tape to secure the 5 terminals to the plug. It worked just fine.
In total, it took about 2 hours to disassemble the trunk, install the tuner and reassemble the truck. It was not hard at all and it went very smoothly. Everything worked without a hitch.
Thanks for the instructions!
