2IS "jdm" power folding mirrors
I'm sure most of you either don't remember me or are aware that the car is going back to stock.. but I figured I would share this info before completely heading out of the lexus world in hopes it will help others.
The Ls460 mirrors came from the factory with the power folding option and are the same size as isf mirrors (not sure if the bases are identical).
What this means is all you need is the two motors/actuators, the switch (if you want it controlled like so.. can wire directly to lock/unlock if wanted) and the wiring. You can then disassemble your mirror housings which is pretty straight forward and then add the motors and wire it all up
There is plenty of discussion about wiring in the is 300 section that should help. The only thing to source from over seas would be the switch which is far more affordable than the complete mirrors. Only downside is the time and you won't have the blind spot glass.
Since I never got around to doing this I cannot provide any more details, but just wanted to share so hopefully someone can complete this project. If you get lucky on the parts it should cost around half of what a complete set of mirrors cost. Good luck to whoever gets this done!
