Default Warranty Options - Do I have any?

Hi Guys,

Bought my IS350 with 99,2XX miles, it's an 06 and see some issues that could have benefitted from a warranty like - LEDs on the Instrument Cluster fading/dying, the Black spots on the Rear View mirror

My question is simple - Do I have any Lexus or Third Party warranty options that I could actually get and get use from that will help solve issues like that?

Please let me know, thank you.

I'm not sure about any third party warranties, but I have found a site that can repair the LEDs on the gauges. I haven't used the service yet, but I saved it just in case I need it.

http://www.taninautoelectronix.com/m...cluster_repair

Radar-mirror.com can repair the black spots on the mirrors.

you can always find someone willing to take your money in exchange for promises of coverage, but likely the costs will outweigh the benefits.

Most Manufacturer warranties end at 120 K, as I remember them

Thanks Serifiyah, I know both of those sites. First of all, undoing the parts to even ship them out is a problem and even after that, they are not cheap repairs, that's why I was asking for a warranty option to see if I can just take it somewhere to be repaired?

I have heard nightmare stories about third party warranties, diablo, but also some good ones. That's why I am posting here to see if someone had a good experience they can share with me? Thanks!

How can you buy a 3rd party warranty @ 100,000 miles?? Isn't it too late?

to be honest, all above parts you mentioned are fairly cheap to replace even including the mirror, on ebay which you can get them approx $150 or less since your car is 2006. also, at 100k no company will offer you any warranty...

You can get a Lexus Platinum warranty for your car if it's less than 9 years old and 120,000 miles. Not cheap but it's available. It doesn't cover pre-existing conditions so if they inspect the car first, you may be SOL. Talk to the finance manager at your local dealership.

I'd advise you to call your local Lexus dealer and inquire about your specific vehicle. The prices may vary by age of vehicle and mileage.

You can't get a Lexus warranty.

https://www.lexusfinancial.com/pub/w...ice_agreements

Even if you can, it's not guaranteed that Lexus will pay for repairs of those problems if you read the fine print. I would just repair those problems out of pocket instead of paying for insurance to get them repair A lot of people on this forum have the same 2 problems you have and there are relatively cheap (considering Lexus) way to repair them without going through the dealer.
