Default $10 Exhaust? Ayyye...

So I went to visit my Dad today to help him polish some parts for his Harley...After polishing a few parts for him and a couple brews I was like "I wonder if we could do this to the Lexus exhaust?"

My dad is always up to try things with cars so he just said "Pull it off and we'll find out!"

....and heres what we got

Now before anyone says anything Im well aware of speeding up the degradation of the muffler, but Im about to pull the trigger on a Greddy SP Elite anyway. I just wanted to show what you could do with a little elbow grease, time, and about $10.

Pulled off exhaust, sanded from 300 grit on up to 3000 then finshed with mothers polish.

....Oh and there's 0 drone! hehe

Looks great and the price is right. Another member did this a while back and I liked the idea.

Thanks guys...I did notice that it was that last 3000 grit that really brought the shine out.

That looks awesome! Our stock exhaust/mufflers has a built in mechanism that opens up when our vehicle speeds up. I think you made it perfect!

It looks nice, except, IMHO, that part of the exhaust should be invisible. Some folks have blacked out the back end of chrome after market mufflers to hid them. The rear portion of my PPE exhaust is ceramic coated black to hide it.

I love mothers polish... when I had my Fujitsubo exhaust on my GS it made those cans looks like mirrors. Looks good on my beach cruiser fenders too

$10 well spent... I like it
