Now, if you do want to make your 2IS handle better, you're on the right track; sway bars, coilovers to lower center of gravity, sportier seats (I agree the 2IS don't provide any bolster support at all in the corners), and most important...better tires. I'd say the $400+ for the steering ecu could better spent for better tires, lighter wheels, or better coilovers.

I've got the steering damper and rear sway bar on the way. May eventually get the ISF steering ECU as well. I hate doing the pedal dance, I always forget. I believe the new ECU fixes this issue.

An isf steering ecu will not eliminate the "pedal dance". You would need to get an abs/skid control ecu from a 2007 or newer isx50. I purchased a used one on ebay for $110, and no more "pedal dance". The 2007+ would be part # 89540-53290 and will have a VT on the label. The 2006 is part # 89540-53251 and has a V5 or V9 on the label.

Only reason I am comparing is because its the car I dailied for the last 3+ years and

I will definitely take pics and post.
All I know is it has Volk racing wheels 19" and Falken tires. He didnt even list the suspension in the ad, until I drove it he casually mentioned that it had after market suspension. I want to say springs but don't know for sure.

I ordered the underbody x-brace and rear
sway bar, among minor interior stuff.
Just to make sure.. both the chassis brace and rear
sway can be installed together? One doesn't
interfere with the other is that correct..

I also recommend you getting a front sway bar sometime in the future as you'll notice you'll have excessive roll on the front end while the rear end remains planted to the ground, especially since you plan on doing canyon runs.

I had the F-Sport rear sway bar on my 350.. it helped but the car still had more roll than I prefer. I would recommend some coil overs in addition to the front and rear bar if you really want to improve handling. I had planned on doing the same to my 350 but decided to jump ship and get an F.

May I ask the year and specs of your F, and how much you payed?
Only one used IS-F for sale in my state, its a '12 with around 12k miles,
and he wants about 52k$ with some bolt ons already installed.

I had the F-Sport rear sway bar on my 350.. it helped but the car still had more roll than I prefer. I would recommend some coil overs in addition to the front and rear bar if you really want to improve handling. I had planned on doing the same to my 350 but decided to jump ship and get an F.

S2k is in different class. Way lighter, way smaller, 2 doors, way more agile. s2k and Miata are damn good in autocross/track.
The IS350 is a balanced machine that is GOOD AT EVERYTHING but NOT GREAT AT ANYTHING. IS350 got the luxury but not top luxury like the LFA. It got the power but not GT-R power. It got good handling but not like Porsche. It got comfort but not like a Camry. It got ok mileage but not like a hybrid. It got some mods but not like the BMW, Evo, Sti etc It got top notch reliability though.

OP, with those lighter Volk wheels youre already on the right track! I wish we had aftermarket 2 piece rotors to replace the heavy front stock rotors (25 lbs) this would help a lot with unsprung weight
