I am wondering if the 3m multipurpose adhesive spray is safe to use on the steering wheel leather.

The spray is safe to use for carbon fiber wrap on the interior wood.

Bumping this old thread since I finally got around to finishing mine last week. I wanted to show everyone the match with the f-sport shift **** to the blue stitching in case anyone interested.

I personally hated the effort required to do this mod and I could never do stitching for a living...lol. I didn't get the cleanest install compared to the other folks on this thread but overall I'm pretty happy with the result.

One more point is that the leather is not as soft of the factory steering wheel, but I'm actually ok with that because it feel like it is more durable.

I purchased a sheet of 3M 300LSE double sided adhesive and cut into desire widths. The is installation was somewhat straightforward (thanks for all the tips here). I only partially removed the airbag and two controllers on the sides and do the installation with the wheel on the car. There are slight bunched up around the corners so i might redo it sometime. Overall i am really happy with the mod. Not sure how long it will last since the material appears to be bonded leather.

This thread seriously makes me want one with blue stitching. Really makes me re-think the whole re-stitching of the OEM f-sport wheel

Just some quick update on the steering cover I just installed! The fitment was OK but I noticed the perforated holes do not match between the left side and the right side (see pictures). I contacted the seller and was told he will not ship a replacement until I ship the defective cover with fully insure and guaranty deliver in order to get a replace. No thanks because the shipping cost will be more than the cover its self.
It is only $30 or so but purchase at your own risk! Especially DO NOT order from this guy (JINGSHI AUTO ACCESSORIES) because of the defect and he won't stand behind his product.
