Question Engine housing

Does anybody know if there is a space differnece in the engine compartment between the 2006 lexus is 250 and the 08 isf? ( nd I don't mean the actual engine just the compartment itself)

Well, the one member on here that did a non-ISF (IS350) to ISF powertrain (well-documented) swap did find out that he would have to run a slim aftermarket electric fan option instead of factory because of the spatial constraint in the engine bay after the swap. I'd have to assume the engine bay in the ISF is slightly larger, thus leading to the front fenders for the ISF being slightly longer as well.

Yes, the ISF uses different front radiator and core supports that extend the front end out several inches. Aside from the front sheet metal the actual "compartments" are the same width on the same subframe. The distance from subframe to firewall are identical...it's everything radiator forward that's different for the ISF. Not counting the fenders as they are obviously different but don't affect engine bay space.

What year is250? I just learned a whole lot about vdim and it's kicking my **** right now even on an 06 is350 vdim equipped.

^Did you happen to get a measurement between the firewall and the core support for the two models?

Nope. I just know if the 2urgse fits then theres room for just about anything. You saw how tiny the LS engine looks in our bay. 2jzgte is ideal
