Exclamation MyRide Rear Diffuser Install Help

Hey guys,

Recently bought a MyRide rear diffuser off a member here, and after getting it painted the body shop was too intimidated to have it installed because of how imperfect the fitment was.

I then took it to a second body shop and got turned down once again.

Both body shops were convinced that 3M double sided tape won't be enough because of how imperfect the dry fit is, and with how harsh Canadian weathers are I think they're right... I know a couple members here had theirs fall off after a while (after using 3M) after all as well.

Anyway, I'm not giving up and am going to try installing it with my brother and nephew this weekend. We were thinking to try using this urethane adhesive along with screws just above each exhaust tip:

http://www.homedepot.ca/product/poly...e-300ml/947644

I know another member here used Lord Fusor 142 but I heard you need a gun to use it properly, and am a bit turned off about spending $100+ and waiting another week just for adhesive. It's $80 to get Fusor shipped to Canada and another $35+ for the gun.

Do you guys think this urethane adhesive will be enough?

Any other adhesive we could try?

I don't think I'll ever take the diffuser off, and just want to have peace of mind that it won't come loose!

THANKS! Appreciate any help/insight you can lend.

Cheers,

I think the adhesive will work. I hate 3M for body kits. If just suggest trying to find a way to keep pressure on the diffuser to keep it held well while drying.

You can try the strongest 3m they make and it might still fall off. I had to use a few bolts in mine on my srt4. and one of my buddies had to bolt his on a genesis.

I am also looking for a way to install mine. I'm trying a rivet gun, but it keeps coming loose.

Double stick tape won't work. You need epoxy to adhere it on for good.
