get a separate set of rims and get 225/40 or 45 on them so you can rotate. Like Zack says, narrower is better for winter anyway

No rubbing and I use them on my oem setup. I rotate them by dismounting and flipping the inside to out.

It doesn't snow enough in Jersey for me to invest in new rims too just so I can buy a specific set of tires.

Do you buy my tires? I have the about 1k miles, and I just bought a GX, so I am not going to drive my IS in next winter

What size do you have? Let me know how that GX is...I am going to be in the market for a new vehicle fairly soon.

225-40-18&255-40-18, I used to own the LX, I think it was a great truck, when I first got the GX I think I was ok, but now I get used to it and love it new technology LEDs headlights BSM ect.. The technology is ahead of the LX, the good thing is I got almost 400 miles range out of the gas tank compare to LX get about 270 miles out of the gas tank

I am in love my Toyota 4runner 05 which is like my adventure and travelling vehicle. How well does the GX hold up to some adventurous abuse!

Since I am buying tires seasonally are the Potenza RE760 the best summer tires one can buy for this car? I have had my set last 2 years with very aggressive driving. I wonder if there is anything better out there without sacrificing durability.

In B4 12 people reccommend PSS without knowing anything about what you really want/need.

You have to give more information to determine what "the best" tire is for you.

Budget?
How many miles do they need to last?
What does "very aggressive driving" mean? Do you take the car to a track or is your "very aggressive driving" done on the street?
How are your current tires wearing? (ie evenly, or inside/outside wearing more quickly)
What kind of balance between comfort and performance are you looking for?
What size wheels are they going on, and what size tires are you looking at?

You guys mention that your running 225 all around then rotating them. Are you guys running the same size and offset 18's? or rotating the tires themselves?

Budget doesn't matter as much
Aggressive driving on the road...quick acceleration/deceleration and taking corners as dramatic as possible.
They are wearing pretty evenly but I have a very slight bulge in my tire. Which means I either need to get my old set back on ASAP since I am on borrowed time. All the snow here ruined the roads and its hard dodging every pothole!
I am looking for a decent balance between comfort and performance. I don't want this thing to sound like a jet engine but I don't need them whisper quiet either.
225-40-18 and 255-40-18
Looking to have them last 30,000-40,000 ideally the latter

I run the stagger oem. I know the kid that work at the tire shop so I pay $10. To have him dismount , rotate , remount and balanced.

I bought OEM 17's off a 250 owner on CL then put 225/45/17 on them so I can mount on any corner I want.

In summer I run the staggered OEM 18 setup on my other set of rims.

I cannot say enough about Blizzaks. I have not ran the LM-32's specifically but I always keep a spare set of rims with Blizzaks for winter. My father was a tire guy and I am glad he made me develop this habit. Even when I lived in a high snow area (100+ inches per year) I did not even need 4WD with Blizzaks. In my opinion, as long as you have the storage space, the spare rims make the convenience of the swap worth the additional cost.
