Default F-sport - tire Q

Question for fsport spring and shock owners.. My car is having springs and shocks installed at the end of this week. I've been talking back and forth with my local tire shop about what to do with my rims/ tires that are too wide. I have 8.5" rims all around.. for the 2 front tires.. should i be looking at a 225 or 235?! I was under the assumption i would need 8" rims...

I was going to buy new rims that are 19 by 8 and have 235/35/19's put on (no rubbing at all)

Or - I keep my 8.5 inch wide rims and have a 235/35/19 put on them (no rubbing...???)

Long story short... will an 8.5" wide rim fit on the front (lowered on fsports)......??

anyone help a brother out?!

Sorry I don't have the answer, but I know there will be others who can help ...
On a separate note though, I'm in the GTA and if you end up wanting to sell your rims, shoot a photo my way and let me know!

8.5 should be ok in front as long as you don't have crazy offset, it should clear brake and no rubbing. 235/35/19 should be ok. F Sport springs drop is very mild (1 inch front) so you should be ok.

Test fit the wheels first before mounting the tires on though to confirm.

I did a quick test fit for you here and it should be ok . Initial specs is 225/40/18 tire with 18x8 with offset of 45 rim going to 235/35/19 with 19x8.5 rim with offset of 40.

"Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 1.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 11.4mm more than before. "

the question more so is what is the offset on the wheels you have right now? that would help out alot more. a 235/35/19 will be fine on a 19x8.5, its going to be super square. with proper offset in mind honestly i would run a 225/35/19 on a 19x8.5. its still not stretched at all(i had this very setup on my first wheel setup and i was slammed) and it was still a square setup.
