Default seeking diy for hood removal and install

hi CL

does anyone know what it takes to remove my oem hood and replace it with a cf one? are all cf hoods plug and play? also, does anyone have a diy for it? tried searching nothing came up, is it because it's really simple?

thanks in advance !!!

Which CF hood did you get? I'm looking at the Seibon TS but worried about rain.

the vented ones will be perfectly fine, had two evos before this car and the huge vent in the center of the hood didn't do anything negative, rain will not affect anything at all. So don't be nervous to get the vented one.

Its super easy. there are 4 bolts holding the hood on to the body at the hinges. the hood struts should just pop off easily. Your gonna need another body to get it off. Putting it back on is just the reverse of what you did.

My Seibon TS hood is in route! I'll let you know the difficulty after my brother in law and I install it. The aerocatch hood pins will be trickier, I bet.
