I currently have a 9.5 wide rim on the rear of my car. If i go to a 8.5 wide rim will it be bad for my tires? They are new and only have maybe 400 miles on them. I know i want be stretching the tire any but it will be on a 1 inch narrower rim. I have OEM tire sizes, 225/40/18 front and 255/40/18 in the rear. Also, could i run a 8.5 inch rim on all 4 wheels with staggered size tires? I think the rears will look funny. I believe the IS350 cars come 18X8 front and 18X8.5 rear with very high offsets.
