Cost of 30k mile service
Hey everyone, my 2010 is250 just reached 29k miles which means to me the 30k mile service will be coming up soon, how much does it cost to get my car serviced at lexus for 30k upcoming miles? And if its too expensive then would pep boys be a good option?

I was quoted like $400 from Lexus in Norcal.
From my understanding, it is just brake flush, oil change, cabin air filter, engine air filter and a lot of inspection. I usually buy the parts separately and bring to a reputable mechanic.

Brake fluid flush, oil change, and cabin filter is all you need to do. At lexus this would be about $200-$240. I would not bring it to pep boys, if you want to avoid the dealership, but a independent shop.

$400 is expensive not cheap, im supposing just a regular shop would do it but they would need the same stuff that lexus uses unless they use a third party brand but it would have to be in the specs of the car for the fluids

Whats up 415/SF buddy? Well you can change the cabin filter yourself after you buy it from Sewell with our CL discount, take it to the dealer and brink in your own Mobil 1 synthetic oil from Costco 6 for $36 and you buy one more from an auto store. Then ask to just do your brake fluid flush. That's it.It'll save you $$

One of my car is at 30k, another is at 90k. What i do:
Buy 7 quarts of Mobile 1 synthetic oil for each car, buy OEM brake fluid, OEM oil filter, OEM AC filter, OEM engine filter from Sewell. Bring it to the independent trustworthy shop. Parts should be under $100 and labor should be under $100 so you spend top at $200. You can replace the filters yourself easily.

Why would I want to make this up? Lol. The service advisor specifically told me and I quote "$183 for the 30k service" but in fairness I do think that's a little cheap especially coming from Lexus.

I went to toyota dealer and did the syntetic oil change and break flush, the break were 105 plus 70 the oil change.. Bought the engine filter and cabin filter and replace them myself. I had no expreience doing anything to my car before. It's really a kids job.
