Check System Light with Aftermarket wheels
This is my first post on here, so go easy on me...
I just bought a 2008 IS250. It has aftermarket wheels on it that do not have tire pressure monitors. The check system light is on, so I had it checked out at a Lexus repair shop before I bought it to be sure that's what is making the light come on. It's not driving me crazy, but I do want it fixed. I *think* my options are to install the monitors in the after market wheels or to pony up for OEM wheels.
Thoughts? Anybody experienced this before?

buy tpms sensors and get it mounted to your rims and get lexus to program it... where is your OEM rims? your set of OEM rims should hav TPMS senors in it.. 2IS allows 2 sets of wheels program to the car...

The car already had the aftermarket wheels when I bought it, the OEM rims were stolen. I actually would like to go back to OEMs, I don't prefer the look of the car to be too "tricked out." Just haven't decided yet, and a little worried about what it will cost me. And the aftermarkets are starting to grow on me, just not sold yet.
But thanks for the info, that helps to narrow down my options!
