Default Car got hit in parking ramp - busted bumper

My brother was dog sitting for me while on vacation, he took the car to go see a movie and while it was parked in a ramp someone backed into our IS350 and I'm assuming their trailer hitch ball popped this hole in the bumper.
.... just curious if there is any way to fix a plastic piece like this or if I am stocking having to get a new bumper.

If I go with a new bumper, anyone know how the "ISF" style ebay bumpers fit up and if they work with parking sensors? Also the cost to paint a bumper these days?

Any help or advice on how to go forward with getting this fixed - OEM replacement, Ebay ISF style, or possibly fixing current bumper would be really appreciated !

Thanks!

THE DAMAGE - the black is all dirt, not scrapes/scratches ... hole is the only damage

Here in NYC, it is typically ~$300 to paint the bumper. What year is your IS?

That looks to be the way to go!
Does the Club Lexus discount apply you think?

The price I gave assumes that you are logged in with the discount.

I'd say just save the trouble and paint it for half the price.

If you want it done right, replace it with a new cover and have it painted. I would weary of ordering a pre-painted bumper especially if your car is 8 or so years old...Paint tends to fade in the sun over time so in order to get a good match go to a GOOD shop that can match the paint for you. You're likely to get a mismatch in paint which may cause you headaches when you go to sell the car in trying to explain why the whole bumper doesn't match exactly the paint of the car. To you it may be a legitimate reason, but it's always buyer beware right?

Painting a new cover should not exceed $300 IMO. Anything above that is robbery.

Before I posted my first call was to the local Lexus dealer and they wanted $380 for the bumper (unpainted), and then referred me to their body shop they work with, I was quoted $1100 for bumper and paint.... that is why I came here. I agree, I though the paint job would be in the $250-$450 range

I was getting a price of $602 without being logged in, perhaps it will go down even further!

With buying this - http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2006/4636.html - it mentions "sensors come separately" ... are the sensors from my current bumper usable (they were not damaged)?... if so, has anyone swapped sensors from bumper A to B before?

Yup, you should have no issue swapping those sensors over as long as they aren't busted. If you are going to DIY this, suggest you do it in a warm place as plastics get brittle and snap easily in the cold.

PS that price with CL discount shows up as $510.XX for me.

I'll probably DIY if I do the pre-painted bumper. On my old IS250 I swapped the headlights which involved removing the bumper, so I'm fairly familiar with it. My dad has a big heated shop that I'm sure I'll work on it in.

... I'll also probably wait til spring since the winter is never really safe here in MN anyway.

Thanks for all the input, I'll probably just end up with the pre-painted one since its my wife's daily driver that I'll probably get as a hand me down when she wants something new.
