Default Rear bumper damage NEED ADVISE!

Hey guys, so a few months back my sister slightly bump into my rear bumper with her car. The damage then was not severe and hardly noticeable. But lately the paint keep on peeling and i'm beginning to worry. I got a quote from a shop a couple months ago before the paint started to peel. The guy wanted $500 for it. My question is, is it worth it to try and fix the bumper, and was that quote reasonable? Any shop suggestion would be greatly appreciated as well. P.S i'm a college student who's on a budget

I live in ny and paint jobs for every major panel is 250$-300$. A new painted bumper is like 500-700 from Sewell I believe.

you can choose to fix it...body shop $500, new bumper $500-$700, touch up paint and "live with it" $10. don't let her drive it again!! So much for parking sensors huh?

Where in CA are you located? I've used Emillo at Mobile Paint Repair to fix the bumper on my BMW with great results. Call him at 562-207-7087 or http://autofixonsite.com/

you should make your sister pay for it. A new bumper is about $700 shipped from sewell. i think getting it repainted is a better option. keep asking around.

yeah i've looked up on Sewell and the total come out to be $710 for a new bumper. I can't afford that right now lol and would the touch up paint work in my situation? cause it's peeling and it's a bit big and not just a scratch :/

I don't remember how much it was but I think it was around $300. Call them, they'll come to you and give you a free quote. There is very little down time. He did the repair in a couple of hours in the parking lot of my office.

Someone did a hit and run while my car was parked at Costco. The bumper was scraped up pretty bad.
