Hi Guys,
was hoping i could get some feedback with regards to installing an after market nav system on my 2006 IS 250.

i have atttached photos of the aftermarket nav system. can you please let me know if there is any functional impact on the car? how about the sensors? or the climate controls? will they be affected? any adverse effects?

I been doing a lot of research on this as well cause I'm looking to buy one. From what I read, the only real issue is there will be a small gap between the air vent and the nav unit if have an 06-08. That can be fixed by replacing it with the 09' air vents. Also, the temperature will be in celsius, not fahrenheit. Other than that, I've read nothing but good reviews.

are you coming from oem navi is or non-oem navi? I installed mine flyaudio from a oem navi is250. pm me if you have question. i love to help

thanks holyking. I dont have any navi on the car at the moment. its a 2006 is250 with the basic radio/climate controls button..

that should be easy. make sure you pull the vent out, don't jam it out. because it will damage you dashboard. I think u need a newer model AC vent to fit on 2006. i believe is 2009+ to fit. Or you can cut it out. I just leave mine lone no a big deal compare to the damage dashboard.
other then that is plug and play. Also, if u want radio to work better, i think you have to connect one yellow wire in the harness. if u don't want to research pm me, i have notes from what i been reading.

the airbag light doesn't turn-on on my flyaudio. Everything run fine expect the GPS software which get error once a while. My Aux from the car doesn't work. I am just using ipod since i don't use my phone as music player anyways. It's very easy to install the back up camera. You just need to wire to the backup light. when u backup- it will turn on the camera. my climate controls shows incorrcet tempture, but i updated my firmware which i got it from linus73. It corrects now. All this experience base on flyaudio. I brought mine when i was in china, i only paid for mine for 520 dollars.
