I think it just varies but I think mine lasted 4 years my car also sat for 3-4 months which im sure didn't help the life of the battery.

I bought my car in August of 2007 and I just replaced the original oem battery a month ago. 6+ years.

Replaced it with a Bosch battery.

My '08 is just now over 6 years old but I live in SF Bay Area where the temps are always moderate- not too hot or too cold. Not sure if this is just my perception but I don't use the auto headlights since it would seem that starting the car in the dark with the headlights also on would really wear on the battery.
When they die does it show any signs before or one day is just dead one day? I have had varied experiences with other cars.

My '06 IS350 was manufacturered in Oct '05; the battery was replaced as a preventative maintenance thing this Aug '13. It still had "acceptible" CCAs, according to Lexus. The key is checking the electrolyte levels at regular intervals; I always checked it during my oil change.

with texas summers I dont keep my batteries longer than 3-4 years. They could go any second and leave you stranded in the worst spot/time

I've had my car since August 15th, 2009 so almost 4.5 years now

Battery has always been good despite having the car parked outside all day and all night in -30C (-22F) Canadian winter

I recently hardwired my dashcam (ITB100-HD) to be able to get constant power for the parking mode feature
I did also add an UPC cable (ITV-80) and set it up so that once the power coming through, reaches below 12.2V, it would cut the power from my battery to my dashcam. This is to prevent my dashcam draining my battery.

What I noticed now is that my dashcam shuts off after about 5 minutes of shutting down the engine
It wasn't always like this though...
* When I first got it hardwored, I didn't setup parking mode and literally had constant power to my dashcam (of course, with the UPC cable in effect) for about 3 days (so 3 days of recording non-stop)
* After I setup parking mode with motion/shock sensitivity, I was still able to get a lot of footage from parking when people/cars pass in front of my car
* It was after it began to get real cold that I noticed my dashcam shutting off soon after shutting off the engine

Definitely shows the battery performance decreasing with age, more use, and cold climate

Mine was OEM. Lasted 6 years before the alternator took it from me. 6-7 years sounds about right.

That's sounds just like my 06 what year do you have and how many miles. What I'm getting at is it never made sence that my batteries never lasted that long. Then my alternator went maybe just a quintessence. I'll see how long this one last this time.
