Default Got a new spoiler and lip. Which tape to use?

Got a Wald spoiler and a Myride diffuser painted. I can't decide which double sided-tape to use.

The 3M VHB (probably strongest tape out there) or the outdoor 5lb tape 3m

I just want to make sure that the spoiler or lip come off.

As long as you clean the parts you're going to apply the double sided tape on you shouldn't have to worry about any thing falling off. Also some guys like cutting the double sided tape into smaller sections instead of using a long piece, I think the reason is to have better contact points.

An autozone near me sells automotive mounting tape that I used for my spoiler. It's stronger than the 10lb double sided tape I've tried in the past

Picked up a roll of 3m extreme heavy duty tape for 9$ at Lowes. Only 60inches. Ridiculously expensive. Probably need 4 of those to install everything

This 3M tape is amazing.
You might be able to find a smaller roll locally.

Make an even stronger bond with 3M adhesion promoter.

Yeah, only heard good things about the VHB but jesus christ, $35 for a roll of tape is ridiculous.

Well I picked up the extreme 3m heavy tape rated for 20lb. Gonna give that a shot and see how it goes.

I heard that heating up the double sided tape until it melts with a heat gun or hair dryer gives it the same affect as the adhesion promoter.

Installed my rear diffuser. Everything went well except there is a minor gap. What could I do to get rid of this? Some sort of glue?

3m double sided extreme outdoor stuff from home depot. its super strong, youll need to apply heat if you ever want to take it off. I use it on any temporary mods on my vehicles.

Did you check fitment before you got it painted? Always test fitment before peel off the tape. I would start from center to both side. Like i post before, home depot has outdoor tape could hold up to 15lbs (black one hold up 20lbs).
