Has anybody done this upgrade? I'm looking at the connectors in the back of both units but it looks like the 2010 HD based navigation has 10 connectors on the back and the 06-08 units only have 9.

EDIT: I've found 1 or 2 threads...but from what I'm reading, it's a cost-prohibitive endeavor. Looking at the back for the 2009 navigation. It looks like it's still gen 5 (dvd based) but with an updated UI and nav traffic. Anybody with a 09 can confirm?

Just to clarify.
06-09 Gen 5 Nav
10-12 Gen 6 Nav (addition of XM Nav traffic and revised theme, etc*)
13 Gen 7 Nav (enform app suite and revised theme, etc*)

I would like to get a Gen 6 in my 08...I havent been able to find anyone that has attempted the upgrade.

Curious about Gen 6 into a 2008 here as well. Is the bus the same, or is it a totally inoperable swap?
