Hello, I'm new to the Lexus scene (for many years I've been a die hard Honda/Acura fan) but now I'm looking to get a 2011 IS250 RWD in manual. Being that they are RARE in South Florida, it looks like I going to have to settle for this one. I was looking for a manual with navigation and under the assumption that the all 2011+ model came equipped with the LED headlights.

I searched the forum a bit to find out what exactly is involved with doing the conversion but it seems that all the threads I found was in regards to a 06 and 08 model.

On the 2011, is it a plug and play conversion or is there more involved to it.

As far as the OEM Navi.. For future references, which years will be applicable? Obviously the 2011 Navi System from a IS250 RWD manual donor would be ideal but if I can't find it from that exact year, I'm wondering what will work. I did a OEM Navi swap on my 04 Acura TL and I had to change the floor harness, dash harness, etc.. wondering if the same concept applies. Will a Navi from a is350 work?

I know a lot of people are using the 350 BBK, is there any other lexus models that can be used in the event that the 350 calipers are not available?

I live in south florida and had a silver 2007 IS250 6MT before it got totaled earlier this year so I'll try to answer some of your questions.

1. not all 2011 models brought LED headlights, the LED headlights only came on cars with factory equipped HIDS. If the car did not come with HID's it will have the same lights as the 06-10.

2. OEM Navi on 6MT cars is extremely rare and I'd say you'd have just about no chance in finding one unless you search nation wide for that needle in a haystack (I personally had a flyaudio unit and that's plug and play). If you wanted to incorporate the OEM navi it would be similar to your TL as the harnesses are different and also 2011+ model came with a hardrive based navigation.

3. The IS350 can also be taken from a GS350 as they are the exact same thing.

I actually test drove a 250 6mt with navi a couple weeks ago in hopes to trade in my awd. But I ended up not liking the waay it drove compared my current 250.

The 250 and 350 led headlights are basically the same, correct?

I just sold my manual 250. They're Extrelu rare and I think there's only about a dozen here on the forum. I'd say if you're going to do the conversion get an older 350 to have the power. As in 09'-10'
