Navigation and roof liner questions

Quick question fellas, has anyone ever swapped the oem navigtion system on their non navi car and it worked???

Have anyone ever removed the roof liner and swapped it out? I'm trying to do both today and wanted to know if there is any difficulties with? PLEASE respond asap if possible.....
