2008 IS350 new owner - Concern about the brakes
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post since I bought a 2008 IS350 model couple days ago.. It is currently on 80,000 (high mileage) and I needed a car so I bought it thinking that it was a great deal..
I fell in love with the car and I didn't do any pre-inspection (my mistake) since I bought it from a Lexus dealer.
I just saw the service record and the most recent record was that the brakes need some attention. I didn't realize this after I bought the car.
The brakes are working fine but when the car comes to a complete stop it does this weird jerk and you can hear a small squeesh sound. It's annoying but am I be able to run this car or does it require immediate attention?
Thanks for the help guys! and i know i am stupid in not checking everything - the car did run well when I was test driving it.. I am also a first time car bayer

Lucky to have the 350 as your first car!
Anyhow, since the issue appears to be with the brakes, I'd take it somewhere that will offer you a free brake inspection. Ask them while it is up on the rack to show you any issues they see (aka worn rotors, worn pads, etc). ALSO, while it is up on the rack, take a look for yourself at other aspects of the car to take advantage of the use of their rack. Check for leaking shocks, leaking exhaust joints, worn tires, leaks (trans/engine/rear-end), etc.
GL and you WILL enjoy the ride! BTW, 80k isn't high-mileage for a Toyota.
