Default Help in buying a car

Hey guys,

I have previously posted about which car I should get: Lexus IS250 vs Ford Mustang V6 . Today I took the Lexus to the inspection garage, "surprisingly " it turned out to be a piece of garbage (in my opinion). I was going to get it for $14,500 out the door. What the inspection had to say about the Lexus is that: there is a problem with the "shock" and need to be replaced for around $2,300, plus replacing the air filter, and finally they said that the air bag was deployed (It has a clean title, and the dealer said it has been in no accidents).

So should I keep looking for Lexuss' or should I go with the Mustang. Btw I didn't find any Lexus IS250 cheaper than $16,500 out the door. Meanwhile the Mustang is a certified car, 35,000 miles, 2011 model, and comes with warranty for $16,250 out the door.

So guys what do u suggest, should I keep looking for the Lexus' (Most I have found are 6 figure mileages) or should I go for this Mustang?

Thank you guys very much.
i've learned so much from ur helpful replies.

Personally, I would go with the Mustang. See my post in your other thread.

if you are stuck at that price point, i would go with the mustang. To have the airbag deploy before is a red flag to me

I did, thanks for the advice.

I went with a 2013 v6 Mustang. In the end, I though a new Mustang is better than and old IS. I can't handle repairs, and wanted something new to make sure I don't have to fix anything.

It's got 17k miles on it, but it's still a new 2013 model.

Exactly. And it's not like I was able to find a good clean Lexus at that price. So in the end, I went with a v6 2013 Mustang with just 17k miles on it.

Yeah I couldn't afford the Lexus, and didn't want my money wasted on an old beat up model.

I went for a 2013 v6 Premium Mustang with leather seats, navigation, sensors, and California kit.

It's not going to give me problems. We'll just leave the Lexus to some other time. The Mustang gave me the best deal for my money.
