How to apply spoiler with 3M tape
I bought a spoiler non-oem but oem style from ebay but they want me to screw it into the trunk lid. I want to avoid doing that so do you guys think I can just use 3m double sided tape to hold it?

Yes you can, plenty of members here have done it before including myself. Just make sure you get the right 3M tape (or even stronger tape) and prep the surfaces very well before doing it. I find the double-sided tape will stick better if the surface is hot too (i.e. on a sunny day).

I've seen other members say they've done it.
Break the tabs, clean the surfaces, and apply firmly. Personally I'm not a fan of auto tape but you can't argue with results.
I have not done this so I would wait for experienced members to chime in... GL OP!

As Killa said, other members have done it. If you search around you should be able to come up with one of the DIY threads which I think someone posted about using 3M (or similar, strong) tape. I found this awhile ago as I was looking to do this myself.

I've had my rear gfx lip and both seibon Ings+1 and roof spoiler installed with 3m tape and have had no problems so far. It's been 2-3 yrs with lots of freeway driving and no problems so far.
Make sure you clean both surfaces before applying tape to the spoiler and applying the spoiler to the trunk.
The 3m tape you should use is 3m tape that has the red back (which you peel off). It should say it holds up to 5lbs. I purchased mine from Staples and Office Max.
Good luck.

I have had mine on with tape for about a year, no issues and Isend it through car wash regularly. Key is to clean both surfaces well and apply even pressure....biggest part dont rush it.
