Is250 awd
I have owned my 2006 IS250 AWD for a little over 2 years now and i have become bored so to speak. I love having AWD and thought about switching to the AWD IS350 but it is out of my price range. (At least another $10-15K)
I have been searching the forums for ways to increase HP and most threads end the same, everyone says get a IS350. Unfortunately, I need AWD for out brutal Alaskan winters and getting a 2011+ IS350 AWD is out of my price range and not an option.
Any Ideas and links for the products where I can increase HP about 30-50? Nothing to much, but I want to make my IS250 fun again like when I first got it.
Any options help. No matter how subtle the increase.
Thank you,
-Arianna

As the previous members have mentioned you have a nice car, nothing wrong with an is250. I also have the same situation except I have an f-sport rwd and want to add more things to make it more fun.
You may not have too much to do for power upgrades because of the lack of aftermarket upgrades compared to other cars out there. But if you have some nice twisty roads there then I suggest upgrading your suspension! You can't go wrong with suspension no matter how fast you are. Look at the mini cooper owners out there they are having a blast with the little hp they have. Awd is great but its not enough to really get you around quickly and as exciting.
Now if you really still have your heart set on HP then get intake, headers, exhaust, downpipe, mid-pipes, air fuel ratio tuner system or even have your ECU reflashed, dyno it and you should get your 30 hp at least from that. Do some weight reduction CF body parts (your hood is aluminum so its light) but having vents makes a world difference your engine cooling. Can't have all that HP and not cool it. AND if you are still not content then get a turbo or SC.. and if you are still not content with that then get a new car LOL.
Seriously though, to have fun with your is250 HP is not enough if you can't control it so like I said suspension makes a worlds difference.

+1 on suspension mods rather than performance mods to increase HP.
Front and rear sway bars made a huge difference compared to stock.
If you really want to increase HP performance wise, you should start with intake, exhaust, midpipe.
Btw, welcome to CL and the IS community.

But the difference in HP between the 250 and the 350 is a huge in my opinion. To me it wouldn't matter if you had power mode on or drove your 250 like it wasn't your car, compared to a 350, the 250 is just not as fast.
