Greetings everyone. Just purchased a Silver 2006 250IS w/ 83k miles today... traded from a 2003 Mustang V6.

I had a few quick questions about the car. Is there any way for me to look the car up, based on VIN maybe, and find what exact features the car has? The dealer was a Nissan dealer, so they had very limited info on the car.

The rubber trim around the front window, near the bottom, is dry rotted. How difficult would it be to replace this trim?

I am really interested in installing HIDs on my headlights. Would a HID kit from say, DDM Tuning, be a good choice? I have installed HIDs before.

Really any useful info you have for a new owner would be great, lol.

congrats and welcome to CL... HID's everyone has there personal choice I have DDM tuning. i don't think you can log in anywhere to see exactly what features you have but if there is someone will chime in soon.

You can see service records from the Lexus Owners site. To get the order/invoice sheet with all the features, it would require a dealership visit with the VIN.

Welcome to CL. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the search feature, as it will help answer some of your questions.

I personally would not buy from DDM Tuning. Its a hit or miss with their kits. Go with a kit from Xenondepot

Appreciate the warm welcome. My Mustang had a DDM HID kit, and it seemed to work fine. I will look into the Xenondepot.

Another odd thing... a message keeps showing on the cluster "Check VSC". It goes away, but come back almost every time I drive. It also causes the "brake" "abs" and a swerving car looking design light to come on. Any ideas?
