Default 12V Outlet not working properly?

So I recently got an Itronics ITB100HD dash cam, and have it hooked up to the cigarette lighter.

My old $50 eBay cam, I moved to the rear, and have it hooked up to the 12V outlet inside the center console.

Problem is........the rear cam doesn't not turn ON with the "engine"

When I put car in ACC mode, the rear cam turns on fine. It's only when I turn the engine on, the cam doesn't turn on.

I reconnected the rear cam into the cigarette lighter outlet and it works perfectly

Any idea on what may be the issue with the center console outlet?

Well I would start by connecting a voltmeter to the outlet and see if its turning off while the car is running vs ACC mode.

This also should tell you if its output is somehow more or less than what is needed by the camera.

This would at least get you started on figuring out where the exact issue is.

I believe there's a brief "off" pulse at the outlet when the engine starts which your camera may not like.
