Default Decided to get something new...

After I bought my is250 I swore I would never buy another car besides a lexus. Then my work picks up a contract that will require me to drive across a mountain pass a couple times a month. After one trip in my slammed lexus I decided I wanted something all wheel drive. After doing some research I decided to go with a 2013 WRX. I was going to get an STI or EVO but afterwards I decided I wanted a brand new car and both those were a little more than I wanted to spend while still in my electrician apprenticeship. I contemplated keeping the Lex and buying a daily but I hate doing that. If I have a nice car I want to drive it. Well, on with the pics!

The old....

When I first got my wrx...

Now after 3 months...

Well, the lexus AWD isn't the true all wheel drive system I wanted. Plus I don't think they look good at stock height and the wobble you get when you lower the lexus AWD is just plain obnoxious.

What convinced you over the EVO? They're typically considered to be more refined and reliable.

Not much more than price. I do like the styling of the new wrx/sti more actually.

Thanks man! Yeah, I had it for a month and just didnt drive it much. I posted it up for a high price just to see if it would sell and I sold it in like 3 days. Unfortunately the people who bought it live a couple blocks away so I see it all the time!

I don't blame you for wanting something AWD to go over the Mtns in OR. What "pass" exactly? Something around Mt Hood or something more to the south?

I almost went with a Legacy GT SpecB versus my 350; but the dealer wanted $28k with 29k miles. Oh well, I'm so happy with my 350!

Nice ride (old & new)!

Do you mind sharing the specs on the Lexus wheels?

Santiam pass, going from Eugene to Bend. It's only really bad for like a half hour but then the other parts get kind of icy which is never fun.

for a reliable AWD, the subarus are very hard to beat. Your LC818 was an inspiration for me to get them too
